We were lucky enough to get a last minute Fall striper season charter with Captain Kyle Johnson, of Solomon's Island, MD.  I had never been trolling and thought it would be, well...boring. BOY WAS I WRONG!  Capt. Kyle is a Gorilla fishing guide!  This guy knows his trade!  I was completely impressed with his calm, quiet nature, which hides his methodical, calculating fishing skills. We caught our limit with BIG fish quickly, then did some catch and release fishing for fun. Another credit  to Capt. Kyle, he's ethical. Stripers, be warned:  You don't stand a chance with Captain Kyle Johnson on the water!  Thanks again for a fun trip!

I have had a great time on two trips with Kyle Johnson. As a “newbie” it has been very rewarding to fish with Kyle; he is helping me get up to speed as a great teacher would. Fishing with Kyle is like fishing with a friend who really knows what he is doing. Captain Kyle puts his anglers at ease and puts them on fish! Kyle has fished the Patuxent River and other surrounding Chesapeake Bay venues since he was a child and his competence is remarkable. He seems to have an instinct as to where the fish are! He is intense and dedicated but very cool!

I would like to heartily recommend Captain Kyle for light tackle jigging, trolling, and much more!

I have known Capt. Kyle since I was six years old and have spend many hours on the water with him. There is only one thing to say, "The man can fish!" I have fished many tournaments with Kyle and there is never a doubt in my mind that we will catch fish and big fish. On top of that we always have a good time. Kyle is about the most layed back guy you will ever meet, and has found his passion on the water. The guy knows what he is doing! It is always a pleasure to board his boat.
